Sarah Flood – Co-op Development Officer for Westmill Energy

Creating positive social and environmental impact has always been at the heart of Sarah’s career. She has worked with co-operatives, social enterprises, voluntary and community organisations, and everyday people all with the aim of maximising their impact.

She joined Energy4All in September 2022 to support Westmill Solar and Westmill Wind, two community-owned renewable energy co-operatives located on the same site, with their strategic aim to work together to demonstrate the difference community energy can make and what a just energy transition can look like. She has been company secretary for Westmill Solar Co-operative since 2012 and for Westmill Windfarm Co-operative since 2024.

Prior to joining Energy4All, Sarah spent ten years with Ethex, which also included their sister platform Energise Africa from 2017. As the Chief Operating Officer she led operations for the two retail platforms from their first orders to, together, raising over £110m for co-operatives and businesses creating positive social change.
