Job Title: Project Officer in Scotland
Energy4All (‘E4A’) is seeking to recruit a Project Officer on a fixed one-year contract, based in Scotland. This is an exciting role. The right candidate, displaying project management skills and an understanding of renewable energy and co-operatives, will focus initially on community energy projects in east of Scotland and the Central Belt. The job offers an opportunity to make a real contribution to delivering new, community-owned renewable energy projects and making a difference in response to the climate emergency.
E4A is the UK’s leading social enterprise in the delivery of community owned renewable energy schemes. Founded in 2002, E4A has successfully delivered 26 operating community energy co-operatives across the UK, with more under development.
E4A has pioneered a series of business models to facilitate community ownership across a range of technologies: wind, solar, hydro and local biomass-fuelled district heating. Ownership of these schemes includes 100% community ownership and shared-ownership arrangements where the community works in partnership with a commercial developer.
In Scotland, E4A already has 11 operating co-operatives some of which are actively seeking to grow. In addition, other Community Benefit Societies are being supported to deliver new projects. Because of the number of developing projects and project leads, E4A is now seeking to recruit a Project Officer on a fixed one-year contract. The candidate will work alongside the Development Manager and be specifically responsible for the management and development of the new projects that are in the pipeline.
