In 2015 Kaz qualified as an ACA (ICAEW) chartered accountant with KPMG, and has since worked in external and internal audit, risk management, and automated systems including at financial services company Aegon. Kaz moved into the community sector in 2024 working for Edinburgh Communities Climate Action Network, before joining Energy4All in 2025 working on ScotWind and other projects in Scotland. He was on the board of the Scottish Refugee Council from 2022 - 2024, and has been on the board of Community Energy Scotland since 2024.
