Reeves Hill Wind Farm
Energy4All is working with Bolsterstone PLC and Marches Green Energy Ltd to deliver a community-owned wind turbine on the proposed Reeves Hill wind farm site near Lingen in Herefordshire. More information about the proposed development is presented on the public consultation web-site developed by Bolsterstones http://www.reeveshillwindfarm.co.uk/.
We will be working with the local community to establish a co-operative, which will purchase one of the four turbines being proposed for the site and run it on behalf of the community. Should planning permission for the development be granted then the co-operative will seek to raise the necessary finance for the turbine through a public share offering. If successful, this will be the first community co-operative owning renewable energy generation in the West Midlands.
The planning application was submitted in May 2008. It is hoped that commissioning of the turbines would take place in the first half of 2010.
