Nigg Hill Wind Farm

This is a five turbine site located approximately 32 km northeast of Inverness, on a promontory of land between the Dornoch and Moray Firths, commonly referred to as Nigg Hill.

In line with Falcks commitment to community engagement, if  approved, a local   co-operative is intended to be set up through Energy4All, to allow local people the opportunity to purchase a stake in the wind farm. Local people will be able to join the co-op, buying shares between 250 and 20,000. Profits from the sale of the green electricity produced by the wind farm will then be distributed to members through an annual dividend.

The planning application was submitted in January 2008.
